Sarah Nellist
Manchester Arena Attack - 22.05.2017
When an Islamist extremist detonated an explosive device at Manchester Arena on 22nd May 2017, twenty-two people tragically lost their lives and over eight hundred were wounded.
Sarah Nellist was waiting to pick up her daughter and niece from the Ariana Grande concert, and was stood in the foyer area. She witnessed the terrorist detonate his device, and the shockwave from the blast threw her through the doors and into an adjourning room. In the immediate chaos following the attack, Sarah managed to collect her family, both of whom were unharmed, and made it home to Wales where the trauma of the experience truly began to become clear.
We were privileged that Sarah felt able to bravely share her testimony for the first time ever publicly in our interview.
