Westminster Bridge Attack - 22.03.2017

When an Islamist terrorist drove an SUV at pedestrians along Westminster Bridge, Owen Lambert was visiting London on a trip with his University. Splitting off from the rest of the group during a brief break in the day’s activities, Owen and his friends were all hit by the terrorist’s vehicle whilst walking along Westminster Bridge and received varying injuries. After hitting pedestrians on the Bridge, the perpetrator crashed his vehicle outside Parliament and proceeded with his attack on foot with knives before being shot by Police.

The attack claimed the lives of five people, including one Police Officer on duty at the gates of Parliament, and injured over fifty from several different countries. In the years following his involvement, Owen graduated University without delay and later ran as the Liberal Democrat candidate for Morecambe and Lunesdale in the 2019 General Election.
