Mark and Julie Wallace
London Bridge and Borough Markets Attack - 03.06.2017
The third attack to hit the United Kingdom in 2017, eight people lost their lives and nearly fifty injured when three Islamist extremists deliberately targeted pedestrians with a van before proceeding on foot with knives. One of those who sadly lost their life was 21 Year Old Sara Zelenak, an Australian au pair who was enjoying a night out with friends.
Following their horrific experience, Sara’s parents Mark and Julie Wallace have founded a non-profit organisation in her memory - the Sarz Sanctuary. Based in Brisbane, they are determined that Sara’s legacy be one of change in terms of the way we respond to grief and trauma, and to support others who may experience such events in years to come.
