Dot Hill
Oklahoma City Bombing - 19.04.1995
The Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City played host to a range of different regional offices for Government departments, including the Social Security Administration, Housing and Urban Development, Secret Service, and Drug Enforcement Agency, when it was targeted for bomb attack on April 19th 1995. In what would become the deadliest act of domestic terrorism in American history, and indeed the deadliest attack of any kind until 9/11, at least 168 people were killed and more than 680 injured.
Dot Hill was working in the General Services Administration Office and sat in the break room when the device exploded at 9:02am, partially collapsing the building and leaving devastation in its’ wake. The attackers had acted out of antigovernment sentiment.
* Dot had a few issues with her audio during our recording, which we have attempted to work around - this is more apparent in the full testimonial below.
