Commemorating the Fourth Anniversary of the Westminster Bridge and New Palace Yard Attack

Thank you for joining us in marking the fourth year anniversary of the Westminster Bridge and New Palace Yard Attack. Sadly, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic we have been prevented from gathering in-person for the second year in a row; hence we hope this site will facilitate digital participation and allow us all an opportunity to commemorate the incident and remember those lost, and all the lives affected, despite our physical separation.

To facilitate your involvement, please hover over each of the four interactive photos below to acquire more information on each aspect of the commemoration, and scroll to the bottom of this main page to watch the livestreamed remote service; a recording of this will be uploaded to the event section after it has gone live. We sincerely hope, and anticipate, that we will all be able to finally gather together in person with one another and pay the due respect deserved on the Fifth Anniversary.

After the minute’s silence has ended and the service has drawn to a close, this chat box on the right hand side will be enabled for attendees to communicate with one another, send messages of goodwill, or simply say hello, should they wish.

If you encounter any technical difficulties whilst accessing the livestream, we will not be able to provide live assistance. At first instance, we would suggest refreshing the page to see if this resolves it - if issues persist, the recording of the service will be uploaded shortly after it has gone out live.

If anyone requires advice, assistance, or guidance during the event, the charity Victim Support run a free and confidential Supportline that is manned 24/7. It can be accessed by using a live chat facility on their website or by calling 08 08 16 89 111

Further Arrangements

We have received written confirmation from Westminster Council that we will be able to proceed with planning for a physical, in-person event for the Fifth Anniversary on March 22nd 2022, with the same level of financial and organisational support that had been planned for 2020 and 2021. We hope that you will be willing and able to join us next year, and we will be in touch with the details closer to the date; in the meantime, we will be in contact with all as soon as restrictions are eased and we are allowed to safely install the plaque on Westminster Bridge.

We still retain use of a private Yammer group, a secure discussion page and social network administered and monitored jointly with the Police where attendees can speak to one another in a safe manner should they wish, beyond the chat function above - please get in touch via our email address if you wish to be granted access: WestminsterCWG@Gmail.com
