Speaking at Runshaw College Conference

Today I spoke with Runshaw College at their Annual Public Services and Social Sciences Conference; I gave the third lecture of the day talking about the Westminster bridge attack to give a counternarrative to those spread by extremists, and terrorism/ radicalisation issues in general. I was followed by Janice Brooks, a survivor of 9/11, and Colin Parry, bereaved by the Warrington Bombing in 1993. The conference was originally supposed to be held in person at Chorley Town Hall, but had to be moved online due to the pandemic; this was my first school visit and talk since the start of the pandemic, and over Zoom.
